For fans of the fiesta brava (bullfighting), the place to go is Plaza Nuevo Progreso, one of the most important and largest bullrings in Mexico, with a capacity of more than 16,000 people. Its main season, known as the temporada grande, is famous for bringing in
the biggest names in bullfighting, who have given local fans many memorable afternoons. Arrive early to eat at one of the restaurants outside the bullring, and after the bullfight, stay at the bar for a beer and talk about the event with your friends.
